I'm staring out the window, watching all the world go by

Looking thru this haze of brown that covers up the colors of the sky

And I think about the way it used to be, clear as every river

running down to the sea

Blue Water.. coming over me, falling all the way down to the ocean

Blue Water.. come and cover me, take me down and wash it all away

The signs are on the shoreline.. scars along the sand

A shadow growing every day that falls on every man

Still we let this fire burn a hole in the sky

I wonder if we'll ever learn or kiss it all goodbye

Seems to me we're running out of time.. the truth is plain and once again we'll step across the line

Blue Water.. coming over me, falling all the way down to the ocean

Blue Water.. come and cover me, take me down and wash it all away

Now how many years will it take to see? I don't think I'll ever understand it.

Searching for an answer, holding every key in our hand..

I'm staring out the window, watching all the world go by

Looking thru this haze of brown that covers up the colors of the sky

Blue Water.. coming over me, falling all the way down to the ocean

Blue Water.. come and cover me, take me home and wash it all away...
